Financial Advisor

I grew up in a military family and lived in many states before settling in St. Paul. I began my career as a financial advisor at IDS Financial Services in 1991, where I spent 14 years working with families and small businesses. In 1998 I obtained my CFP® Certificate, and my ChFC® in 2003. Through Kaplan, I taught CFP® Exam preparation courses at The University of Minnesota, Metro State University, and the University of St. Thomas while I managed my practice (I am not presently a CFP practitioner). In 2005, I was offered a position at Woodbury Financial Services, and transitioned out of private practice. This led to leadership positions at Woodbury Financial, Ameriprise Financial, and Portico Benefits Services. My heart led me back to working with clients, and in 2017 I joined Midwest Secure Retirement. I focus my practice on helping clients save for retirement and making sound income, risk management, and estate preservation decisions before and during retirement.

I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from St. Cloud State University, and hold several state insurance licenses. I enjoy performing music, playing hockey, cycling, and spending time with loved ones. I currently reside in the east metro with Patti, my significant other and good friend since the age of 12. I have two children I loves dearly and of whom I am very proud.
